Bedrock Care Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is looking for a Unit Manager! Open to RNs and LPNs!

Unit Manager Job Description: 

The Unit Manager assumes 24-hour responsibility and accountability for the nursing care of all residents on an assigned unit. Supervises licensed nurses and other nursing personnel in the delivery of care and services according to each resident’s comprehensive resident assessment and plan of care. Manages unit by facility philosophy, in compliance with standards of professional nursing practice, and with all state and federal laws and regulations. Utilizes resources efficiently and economically to ensure that each resident achieves the highest practicable physical, mental, and psycho-social well-being.

  • Makes daily rounds on the unit to supervise, observe, examine, evaluate staffing needs, and monitor regulatory compliance.
  • Analyzes data and acts promptly to resolve problems and to continuously improve quality. 
  • Conducts or coordinates the resident assessment process including accurate completion of the state-approved Resident Assessment Instrument.
  • Participates as a member of the interdisciplinary team in the development of the plan of care and attends care conferences for residents.
  • The Unit Manager supervises & educates nursing staff in the implementation of plans of care to assist residents in attaining or maintaining the highest practicable physical, mental, and psycho-social well-being.

Unit Manager Qualification: 

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current active license as Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in state of employment. Active CPR Certification is required
  • Two years of professional nursing experience providing direct care in a long-term care facility, with 1 year of supervisory or management experience with direct care staff
